Dr. Renata Rawlings-Goss

 

A Nationally Recognized Leader in Data Science

Author of “Data Careers, Training, and Hiring” Dr. Rawlings-Goss' work has been recognized in the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and as one of President Obama’s top 100 Impacts in Science and Technology. 

 

She is currently the Executive Director of the South Big Data Innovation Hub, a federally funded 16 state center connecting industry, academia, and government around data science innovation. She is also the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Georgia Institute of Technology- Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEaS). 

Formerly, with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Dr. Rawlings-Goss founded the National Data Science Organizers (NDSO) and co-led the writing team for the Federal Big Data Strategic Plan. 

Through her roles, she has served as an executive strategist, career mentor, and policy advisor to Fortune 500 companies as well as individuals and over 19 federal and state government agencies around data science education, Big Data, Digital Transformation, Public-Private Partnerships, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Data Career Success, Professional Development and Data Innovation.

She currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two children

We create a safe space for you to ask questions and empower each other. We translate confusing data jargon into simple language and equip you with everything you need to start organically accelerating your career and/or making an impact in no time.

Absolutely not, this course is designed for professionals with a range of backgrounds and no technical, data, or coding knowledge is required to attend.

There are ~ 48 Modules with a a mix of short lectures and guided exercise split over 10 coaching sessions. 

All the live sessions will be recorded, and if you have to miss one, you can always watch recordings at your convenience. With that said, we strongly encourage you to make the live sessions as it builds the group community. Alternatively, we recommend that you make time to view the recording before the next live session so that you can follow the content with understanding and join group discussions.

Each week via Zoom, we will have two live sessions on Monday and Thursday. The current plan is for them to start at 8:30 pm EST, so we can include all time zones. However, we will be confirming timing with registered students before making this official.

Yes! This course was built for full-time professionals. There will be two 1-hour group sessions per week. Plus you will have regular homework assignments. In total, you'll commit 4-6 hours a week to this course.

You have lifetime access to all course materials even after the course ends. This includes access to the community and all of the course resources!
